India in general
line

India with its thousand different ethnic groups and faces, a land that has always fascinated us, with the enchantment of mystery. Travelling in India is an amazing experience, being carried along by the "colourful throng", that with its sounds and colours thrills and frightens one at the same time. It is an incomprehensible world for our western traditional culture, a world where time, the rhythm of life and death acquire another meaning.

India, granitic in its structure, in the persistence of customs and traditions, is a complex country with many forms, almost a mosaic of ethnic groups that differ in religion, culture and language. And incredibly it is just this mixture of peoples, this division into castes, that guarantees the continuity of the Indian social structure, where religion underlies every philosophical, artistic, and literary   endeavour, lasting for over three thousand years unchanged. It is just this culture, permeated with religion like no other, where the many religions continue to clash in bloody wars, between Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs, the same religious hatred that caused the death of the Great Soul, Mahatma Gandhi. And at the same time it is still the land of ascetics, noble yogis, pure Janists, Sadhus, and that gives refuge to the Dalai Lama of Tibet.
